 Sothebys and Christies New York to hold very large Meissen auctions Minimize

During 2007 both Christies and Sothebys will be holding very major sales of Meissen porcelain.

During the 20th century just after the 2nd world war the wealthy in North America had accumulated large sums of  money. Importance was placed on building the largest of collections. The dollar commanded great power and the major antique dealers came over to Europe because antiques of all kinds was on offer in abundance.

Sothebys New York are to hold a large selection of Meissen in their next 19th century sale on 29th November 2006
